CDAPP Materials Resource Center
The Sweet Success Resource Center was moved to San Diego in 1996
to centralize the production and distribution of CDAPP education
materials. It's mission is to aid in the improvement of perinatal
outcomes for women with diabetes during pregnancy by producing and
distributing high quality, easy to read education material. In addition,
Resource Center staff promote CDAPP materials and standards of care
to providers through various activities.
Resource Center staff provides assistance with CDAPP material development
to other regional programs and provides recommendations to MCH on
formatting, readability, and usability of existing or newly developed
program material.
The Resource Center has a variety of education resources for both
providers and pregnant women with diabetes. Professional materials
include new 2002 Guidelines for Care. Patient materials showcase
low/non literate menu plans in various languages, a record book,
psychosocial brochures and more. All materials are culturally and
linguistically appropriate.
